PROGRAM

There are two ways to reach this destination that is very close to the Arctic Circle.
You can fly to Kiruna airport in Sweden or Narvik airport in nearby Norway.
You then have to travel a little further before reaching your base camp. You can opt to take a shared or private taxi, which we can organize for you. It takes around 2½ hours to reach Niehku Mountain Lodge.
There is also the option of a helicopter transfer.
You settle into your rooms and meet the team who will give you a briefing on the weather conditions forecast for the week.
If possible, a safety briefing will be given to save time on the following day.

The holiday is offered on an “out and back” basis, returning to Niehku Mountain Lodge every evening for a relaxing end to the day and restful nights.
This is a perfect spot for heliskiing enthusiasts: the helicopter lands right in front of the lodge and takes us back there after skiing.
The maritime climate combined with the cold produces cold snow that settles well. This means plenty of powder snow in fairly open terrain with beautiful combes, steeper, more alpine slopes and forest skiing.
Lunch is provided and packed in the helicopter so that you can eat and recharge your batteries during the day.
Depending on the conditions and the group’s level of fitness, it will be possible to do between 8 and 12 runs a day.
After these amazing days of skiing in a Far North setting, you can enjoy the comfort of your rooms or take advantage of the sauna in the spa area or even have a massage.
A gym is also at your disposal
or you can get together for a coffee and chat about your day in one of the welcoming and convivial public areas.
The highlight of the day is dinner, as Niekhu Mountain Lodge is renowned for its gourmet cuisine and its wine list.

the 7 days of thrilling descents, gourmet meals and relaxation in this cocoon of luxury and nature will leave you enchanted.

ACCOMMODATION

Niehku Mountain Lodge is an exceptional hotel in Swedish Lapland.
This ideal base for heliskiing was created through the imagination of a guide and a sommelier who took up the challenge of renovating a former railway maintenance workshop.
The hotel has 14 warm and comfortable rooms with wood-paneled walls and thickly carpeted floors. The bedding is top quality and the bathrooms are modern and functional.
The huge lounge, with a library and coffee machine, is the perfect place to get together.
The wellness area has a mineral-style decor with a sauna that offers views of the surrounding mountains through the two picture windows, as well as a massage room and a fitness room.
The dining room, all in wood and stone, offers a calm atmosphere. This is where you can enjoy the chef’s combinations of flavors from the land and sea, such as Swedish caviar, Arctic char or reindeer. You will be delighted by the delicately prepared dishes.
Through the glass floor, you can see the wine cellar where the exceptional vintages selected by one of the owners are stored.
